Certified GPDIA judges and trained under the GSDTA system (Skippy Blair, John Wheaton), International Instructors, Event Organizers, Coaches and Local Community Builders (French Riviera & Paris), Joëlle & Bret have been judging internationally for many years mainly in Europe but also USA and Asia. Joëlle has also added Chief Judging to her skillset and loves being able to help events and dancers building strong competitions, running as smoothly and fairly as possible. We are passionate about sharing the knowledge acquired through our years of traveling, and help train the future generation of judges, competitors and instructors. This Intensive is designed for dancers with an in-depth understanding of WCS Fundamental elements and looking to become or improve their skills as a judge, competitor and/or teacher. Topics : - Judge Responsibilities, Ethics and Code of Conduct - Judging Elements and what to look for based on the Level of the Division - How to evaluate the dance quickly and efficiently from different angles (Timing and Rhythm, Technique, Difficulty Level, Execution, Performance…) - How to be consistent and as fair as possible while providing feedback - Methodology and Organization of your Judging Sheet (Paper & Tablet) - Time management (especially for bigger divisions) - Price $50 for 2h 30 Intensive + Printouts - Extra $20 for Mock Judging + Feedback on Sunday - Open to all levels - Limited Slots: 30 total, 20 for mock judging & review (Dancers who took this intensive previously can register mocking-only) Schedule: 7:30 pm - 10 pm Thursday, April 10th for workshop Sun, April 13th for Review Hours TBD
